ask him. bond with him and ask what color he most likes.buy the booster pack(three bakugan)with the most of that color.i like bakugan to and if it is his first bakugan he would care what character is his rolemodle and they have a certain color of bakugan.

But the best choice is to buy what he wants. Maybe he wants what another kid at the day care has. Just talk to him. Sometimes kids want to have what others have sometimes they want to be different or to have more. Keep in mind Bakugan is also a game. Maybe he wants to play.
